About Sam Szabla
Sam Szabla - Professional Summary:
Interior designer Sam Szabla began learning his craft at the La Domade College of Design in Paris, graduating in 1996 with a Master's degree. Later that year, Szabla began working in Hawaii, creating furniture and home accessories chain Hawaiian House, Inc. With stores on the islands of Oahu, Kauai, and Maui, Sam Szabla created customized interior design products, in addition to his responsibilities as CEO. Hawaiian House also sold the handmade work of local artists, and Szabla's success was featured in an article by the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. In 2003, Sam Szabla became CEO of hotel redesigning corporation South Beach Plaza Hotels and Villas. His comprehensive responsibilities included on-site project management, design, and business development. Sam Szabla's most visible project involved renovating Miami's Beach Plaza Hotel, saving it from demolition attempts. South Beach Plaza Hotel and Villas restored many of the hotel's original rooms and public spaces, including its rooftop bar and garden restaurant. Currently, Sam Szabla acts as in-house designer for Hibiscus Island Home in Miami Beach, Florida. Szabla designs homes, restaurants, and hotels using private-label bedding and textiles, and his work can be found throughout Beverly Hills, Barcelona, Miami, and Sao Paolo. Szabla travels internationally to find modern trends and fashions, winning Best New Designed Model Home in Kauai. Sam Szabla is currently designing his own website, www.samszabla.com.
