About Ryan Gilway
A dedicated student and athlete, Ryan Gilway currently attends Salt Lake City’s Westminster College, where he studies Business and Finance and actively associates with the Ski and Snowboard Club. Additionally, Ryan Gilway helps to maintain the natural beauty of the campus through his participation with the Westminster Garden Club.
An avid skier since the age of three, Ryan Gilway was raised in Ontario, Canada, where he received an education from Rotherglen Preparatory Academy in Oakville. After relocating to Maryland with his family, Ryan Gilway enrolled in college preparatory classes at St. Paul’s School. During his time at the Brooklandville institution, Ryan Gilway played on the football and wrestling teams and sang in the chamber choir.
In 2006, Ryan Gilway joined 3 RIDESHOP, a premier ski shop in Timonium. After a successful year of retail experience selling skis, snowboards, and related apparel, Ryan Gilway left the company to focus on his academic career.
With a genuine concern for others, Ryan Gilway has devoted his time to helping a number of philanthropic organizations, including the National Children’s Center (NCC), an establishment created to assist children with developmental disabilities, and the Childhood Leukemia Foundation, a nonprofit organization offering a number of free services to children with cancer. Ryan Gilway also supports Habitat for Humanity and the St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVP).
Aside from his educational and community involvement, Ryan Gilway enjoys riding mountain bikes and his R1200R motorcycle. A world traveler, Ryan Gilway has visited several European countries, as well as Cozumel, St. Lucia, Aruba, and Grand Cayman. Utah resident Ryan Gilway spends his free time reading the suspenseful literature of Stephen King, Clive Cussler, and Lee Child.
