The Zarkou Law Firm was founded in 2009 by Russell Zarkou. Russell has been practicing and applying law in Arizona for over 30 years. He began his legal career working for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department, where he quickly rose to the rank of Lieutenant and ran the Maricopa County Durango Jail Facility. Mr. Zarkou began practicing law in 1980, after graduating from Arizona State University College of Law.

Mr. Zarkou successfully practiced law on a continual basis from 1980 to 1997 when he was appointed to sit as magistrate in the Mesa City Court. Mr. Zarkou served as a judge for the City of Mesa from 1997 until 2001 when he left the bench to work as a manager of an industrial wholesale supplier in Phoenix Arizona.

Mr. Zarkou has donated his time and talents to many worthy causes throughout his career. One of the places he has truly focused his efforts is in education. Though Mr. Zarkou's teaching experiences are too long to list, he has taught several classes and courses, at major universities on both a paid and volunteer basis. Most recently, Mr. Zarkou was the Chair of the Legal Studies and Paralegal Department at Brown Mackie College.

Mr. Zarkou returned to his first love, practicing law, in 2009 when he opened the Zarkou Law Firm. Mr. Zarkou has been excited to return to practicing law, and is excited to serve his clients' needs. It is Mr. Zarkou's goal to continue to exceed his clients' expectations as he has done throughout his career.
