About Roni Amid
Roni Amid - Professional Summary: Though currently a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, Roni Amid grew up in Israel, where he studied finance and business administration at two of the country's higher education institutes: the College of Management and Tel Aviv University. He eventually relocated to the United States, where he conceived the idea for an all-business-class airline. As a result, Roni Amid became the Vice Chairman of MAXjet Airways. He and his associates raised the necessary funds through the London Stock Exchange and launched the company in 2003.
Roni Amid handled the airline's finances and fundraising. He was also in charge of strategic planning. At the height of the airline's operations, flights were going between London's Stansted Airport and Las Vegas McCarran International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Washington Dulles International Airport. The fleet comprised one Boeing 767-200 and four Boeing 767-200ERs. MAXjet closed business operations in 2007.
Since then, Roni Amid has made a home for himself in Las Vegas. He possesses a private pilot's license and spends a lot of time out on the water, where he enjoys boating and waterskiing. A prominent member of the community, Amid serves on the Board of Directors for the Adelson Educational Campus. In coordination with the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, Roni Amid helped raise $117,000 to assust families tending for children with cancer.
