About Roman Pachulski
Roman Pachulski, MD, possesses 25 years as a cardiologist, electrophysiologist, cardiology chief, and associate professor of medicine. Since 2004, the San Antonio, Texas, resident has operated South Texas Heartbeat, PA, a practice he founded. In his current role as Cardiac Electrophysiologist, Dr. Pachulski diagnoses, elucidates, and provides treatment for issues relating to the electrical activities of the heart. He is licensed as a cardiologist in Arizona, California, Florida, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Texas, and he speaks English, French, and Polish.
More than three decades ago, Roman T. Pachulski, MD, began his undergraduate education in biology and premedicine at the University of Ottawa, earning a spot on the institution’s dean’s list in 1978 and 1979. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Dr. Pachulski obtained his medical degree from the University of Ottawa’s renowned medical school in 1983, graduating magna cum laude. During this time, he received three notable academic awards; including a silver medal for being ranked second in his class of 85 students; the Horner Prize, for having the highest grades among students in the Pediatrics Department; and the Ciba-Geigy Prize, for holding the highest standing among students in the Department of Internal Medicine.
While still in medical school, Dr. Pachulski performed an internship at Dalhousie University, a public research school in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and, after graduation, undertook a residency in internal medicine at the University of Ottawa and Ottawa Civic Hospital, where he fulfilled a three-year commitment. Subsequently, Roman T. Pachulski, MD, did another residency at the same teaching hospital, where he served as Chief Resident from 1987 to 1988.
As a college instructor, Roman T. Pachulski, MD, taught as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at five different institutions, while simultaneously holding hospital staff positions, during a 14-year period starting in 1990. From 1993 to 1998, Dr. Pachulski worked as a volunteer faculty member at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also taught and practiced cardiology at Stony Brook University, as well as the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
