Robin Rodriguez, a long-time investment strategist, studied advanced mathematics and economics at Amherst College. His thesis was entitled The Random Walk Theory of Commodity Market Prices. Later, Robin Rodriguez studied International Finance at New York University. With this educational background, Robin Rodriguez began a career in international and corporate finance. He worked as a trader at Mocatta Metals Corporation and Manfra, Tordella & Brookes, Inc. While at Mocatta Metals, Mr. Rodriguez served as the New York/Chicago Silver Arbitrage Trader and authored the Mocatta Metals Bullion Report. At Manfra, Tordella & Brookes, he made markets in gold coins and foreign currency. Robin Rodriguez also worked for a NYSE brokerage firm, Vilas & Hickey, where he held responsibility for London option trading. He developed Vilas & Hickey’s managed account program for both the foreign exchange and commodity markets, as well. Robin Rodriguez founded Commodities Management International in 1976, which managed money in the commodity markets using computer based trading systems.
