About Robert T. Harvey
As President of Harvest Petroleum, Inc., a licensed oil and gas operator, Robert T. Harvey oversees and directs all aspects of the company’s oil and gas drilling, completions, and field development. Bringing a depth of knowledge to his own company gained from many years of senior-level management experience in a wide variety of industries, Mr. Harvey is also well-educated in the engineering field, enhancing his ability to provide keen leadership at his company. Robert T. Harvey, who founded Harvest Petroleum, Inc., in 1996 with headquarters based in McKinney, Texas, focuses his endeavors on oil and gas exploration and production in Texas and Louisiana.
In addition to his multi-faceted career as an executive in several leading companies, Robert T. Harvey has also played a key role as an investor and guide to many early-stage or start-up companies that reflect a diverse array of industrial interests, such as wireless, biotechnology, storage networking hardware, and enterprise software. Through his private equity partnership, Mr. Harvey guided exit transactions or mergers of several companies, including Chaparral Network Storage to Dot Hill; AirPrime, Inc. to Sierra Wireless; Center Software to Matrix One; See Commerce to TeraData; Securant Technologies to RSA, a division of EMC; and CancerVax, an IPO, to MITI. Actively engaged in these enterprises, Robert T. Harvey was the Board Member of Chaparral Network Storage and was solely responsible for garnering an additional $13 million in the acquisition of Chaparral Network Storage by Dot Hill, an action that benefited the junior preferred class of stockholders.
Robert T. Harvey lives in Prosper, Texas, with his wife and three sons. He is very active in youth-oriented community work and enjoys volunteering with the Boy Scouts.
