Robert Sissons, a professional football player, was born on September 29, 1988 in Stockport, England. He was a regular player for England in the 2004 Adidas tournament for the Under-17 team and represented England at the Under-18 level also.

Robert Sissons kicked off his football career with the Bolton Wanderers youth club and as of 2008 is with the same club. He played as a late substitute for Bruno N’Gotty, in his debut match for the Bolton Wanderers and had a major victory against Watford. The match was the 3rd round of the 2005-2006, Football Association (FA) Cup and was held at Vicarage Road. Watching him play against Watford, a lot more is expected from this upcoming midfielder at the Reebok. Blerim Dzemali, Swiss international midfielder, has stated that Robert Sissons and Zoltan Harsanyi were the best performers of the Bolton Wanderers at Reebok.

As an attacking midfielder, he gave the Bolton Reserves a commendable victory against the League Leaders, Middlesbrough, at Leyland. The match witnessed his dominance on the midfield, which was aptly supported by Matt Cassidy, his team mate.
