About Robert Ramoska

Podiatrist Robert Ramoska possesses an extensive history of community service. At South Side Clinic in Chicago’s inner city, he lent his expertise to people experiencing financial hardship. Robert Ramoska also contributes his time to St. Paul VIRTUS, a program of The National Catholic Risk Retention Group, Inc. Other charities that Robert Ramoska supports include The Army Historical Foundation, the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, Disabled American Veterans, National Museum of the Marine Corps, and Avenues to Independence. 

Graduating from The University of Alabama, where he served as a student coach for the swim team under Head Coach Don Gambril, Robert Ramoska held several Illinois high school swimming records. At Fenwick High School, one of the leading college preparatory institutions in the Chicago area, Robert Ramoska became the first high school swimmer to break the 4:30 barrier in the 500-yard freestyle and held the Illinois high school record in the event for 12 years. Earning All-State honors three times as a member of the water polo team, he broke records in the 400-meter and 1,500-meter freestyle, garnering recognition as a 2-time Junior National Champion. Robert Ramoska competed internationally in Hamburg, Germany, and Caracas, Venezuela, achieving Men’s High Point honors. In addition, the high school athlete earned All-American honors in swimming 15 times. 

The co-owner of American Foot & Ankle Center Inc. in Palatine, Illinois, podiatrist Robert Ramoska became one of the first surgical instructors in the greater Chicago area of the endoscopic plantar fasciotomy. Previously, Robert Ramoska served as an ER physician and as a member of the Residency Selection and Peer Review committees at Edgewater Medical Center in Chicago. The podiatrist, who also held staff positions at Methodist Hospital of Chicago and Day Surgicenter Inc. in Chicago, is board-eligible by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. 

When not providing medical and surgical podiatric services, Robert Ramoska enjoys swimming, fishing, and reading. He counts John le Carré and Tom Clancy among his favorite authors and admires the book The 50-Meter Jungle: How Olympic Gold Medal Swimmers Are Made, by famed Coach Sherman Chavoor, a member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
