Robert Morelli co-founded Sirona Advisors, a division of AK Caplital LLC, a registered broker dealer, in January 2009 and serves as a Managing Partner of the New York City-based financial services firm. Mr. Morelli serves as co-head of the trading and advisory business within the organization. Robert Morelli began his career in business after graduating from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, in May 1999. At the Ivy League School, Mr. Morelli earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing. In July of that year, he accepted a position with UBS and PaineWebber Inc. When Robert Morelli joined UBS, he was one of a three-person team, and was instrumental in building it into a 30-person business. At UBS, Robert Morelli was in charge of the syndicate group responsible for the distribution of more than 60 collateralized debt obligations (CDOs) totaling some $55 billion. Mr. Morelli held several positions at UBS, a Swiss global financial services company considered the world’s second largest manager of private wealth assets with offices in 50 countries. Prior to leaving the firm in 2008, Robert Morelli was head of the Residential Mortgage and Asset-Backed CDO business at UBS with responsibilities that included overseeing the banking, structuring, and distribution of all residential and commercial mortgage CDO products. After spending almost nine years with UBS, Robert Morelli grouped with two other former executives from UBS to form Sirona Advisors, which focuses exclusively on highly structured, illiquid, credit mortgage-related products. Mr. Morelli and the Sirona Advisors team provide clients with business enhancement ideas and solutions, including restructuring and securitization services, financing solutions, and investment banking ideas.
