Robert Connor Heist has been the owner and Principal of R. Connor & Associates, P.C., for over a decade. With offices in Chicago and Lake Forest, Illinois, as well as Boston, Massachusetts, the firm provides a wide range of services in business law, from contracts and insurance to employee rights and regulatory compliance. In addition to overseeing the strategic planning for the firm, Robert Heist is also responsible for managing the firm’s operations and development of marketing plans. He also serves on the Board of Managers of the Milton Hershey School and the Board of Directors of the Hershey Trust Company in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Robert Heist’s prior experience includes his work as Partner in major legal firms in Illinois, including Bates, Meckler, Bulger & Tilson and Bates & Carey LLP. Mr. Heist completed his Juris Doctorate at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Mr. Heist completed his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. Additionally, he has obtained certification in Director Education from the Harvard Business School by completing courses titled Making Corporate Boards More Effective and Audit Committees in a New Era of Governance. 

Besides his legal profession, Robert Heist has been actively engaged in charitable endeavors involving children and families. He is the founder of Askhere, Inc., a nonprofit organization that offers opportunities for enrichment in arts, athletics, and academics to children from underprivileged communities.
