About Robert Fulton

Robert is the eldest son of James and Agnes Fulton

Born into a farming background, Robert’s first career was not however in agriculture, but in the construction industry. His ability and trustworthiness were soon rewarded and he rose to the position of quality control manager.

Applying his knowledge of building design to his farming expertise, Robert moved to Saudi Arabia where he worked on a project to alleviate high mortality rates experienced in the poultry industry.

While in Saudi, Robert became interested in native desert species such as the Houbara bustard. This interest took him to Morocco where he set up a highly successful partridge breeding and release project. Still in Morocco, Robert then moved to a Houbara breeding centre where he soon became Assistant managing director. While there he was heavily involved in the development and construction of a release and research station in the desert, where the captive bred Houbara were released into the wild. Being based in the Houbara’s wild habitat allowed Robert to amass a wealth of knowledge on the wild bird’s behaviour along with other desert species. Robert has a vast and varied knowledge, combining an ability to adapt to all conditions and circumstances thus ensuring success to any project that has his involvement.
