About Rizwan Imtiazi
Rizwan Imtiazi - Professional Summary:
I have had extensive experience in procurement - managing categories, major procurement projects, procurement department and staff. I have worked in defence, manufacturing, aerospace, housing and construction sectors and covered a variety of commodities/categories across the range, both direct and indirect. From the beginning of my career I have worked in cross-functional teams and, in my more recent years, with the responsibility of managing them on strategic procurement projects. I have worked on highly complex procurements as well as procurements involving highly complex commodities at a strategic level. The roles have involved supplier integration, supply chain management, process improvement and establishing procurement functions, procedures and policies. This reflects my ability to manage and work closely with suppliers and stakeholders, managing KPIs and managing people including teams and staff.
I have also had a consultancy role providing advice on effective decision making and tendering and bid evaluation best practice, including OJEU regulations, to public sector, local government and central government clients. I have also performed spend analysis for FTSE 250 clients in a client relationship management role.
I have had the good fortune to be involved in diverse projects, for example...:
- enforcing and administering best practice e-tendering and e-evaluation processes for high value, high risk and iconic Olympic procurement projects for London 2012 at the Olympic Delivery Authority,
- procuring for high value/high tech design, development and production in a manufacturing environment, working at "Secret" level,
- implementing strategic procurement and establishing/improving procurement processes
- Oracle implementation team member representing the Procurement module and a super user,
- working with Boeing to source aircraft and strategic services for an aerospace simulation & training bid
...to name but a few.
