About Rick Rambo
A Partner at Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP since 2008, Rick Rambo is an award-winning litigator who represents high-tech companies in the United States, Europe, and Asia. His firm has over 1,300 litigation lawyers and patent agents in 22 offices around the world. Rick Rambo has written numerous industry-specific articles, for which he has received a number of awards. In 1996 and 1997, he won First Place for Publication for Houston Young Lawyers Association's newsletter, Pocket Parts. He has also been the recipient of the Texas Tech Law School Best Article Award. Moreover, his work as an attorney has earned him recognition as a Texas Super Lawyer four times--in 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2010--and he is AV-rated in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.
Rick Rambo studied law at Tulane University School of Law. He simultaneously took business classes at the Freeman School of Business, and in 1994, he received both his Juris Doctor and his Master of Business Administration. Prior to studying law, Rick Rambo managed his own software company, Software System Developers, Inc., which designed 3-D navigational applications to break down and render real-time data. During that time, he taught programming classes and received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of New Orleans.
After completing his legal training, Rick Rambo became an active member of the Patent Committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Maritime Law Association of the United States. He has his license to practice in Texas, the District of Columbia, and Colorado. Rick Rambo’s clients have included some of the world’s top personal computer manufacturers and world leaders in high-tech products. He has provided representation in a variety of patent infringement suits dealing with computer architecture and graphics technology, in cases that have settled in his clients’ favor.
