Richard Widom - Professional Summary: With 30 years of experience as a workers’ compensation attorney, Richard Widom established the Law Offices of Richard M. Widom, LLP, in June 2009. The law firm’s main office is located in Los Angeles, California; a new branch recently opened in Orange County, California, as well. While actively building new client relationships, Richard Widom also retains many of the clients who have turned to him for assistance over the course of his career. As the law firm continues to grow, Richard Widom anticipates the creation of additional branch offices. Richard Widom earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Fernando Valley, College of Law (now University of West Los Angeles School of Law) in 1976 and earned admission to the California Bar in June 1977. Joining the law firm of Kendig, Stockwell & Gleason in May 1978, Richard Widom quickly gained experience representing numerous insurance carriers and self-insured business owners. After less than three years of employment, Richard Widom became established as a company shareholder, and a member of the board of directors for Kendig, Stockwell & Gleason. Notably, the prestigious Council on Litigation Management selected Richard Widom as a Member. An international organization, the Council selects members based on strict criteria of ethical standards, professional integrity, and adherence to professional canons. Richard Widom also served extensively as a Judge Pro Tem and actively presents at legal seminars for insurance carriers, third party administrators, small business employers, and the California Insurance Guarantee Association.
