About Richard Pichardo
Law enforcement veteran Richard Pichardo applies more than 25 years of experience to his position as Public Safety Director of Valor Security Services. Based in Coral Gables, Florida, Valor Security Services protects the visitors and employees of the Village of Merrick Park, a premier shopping, dining, and entertainment destination.
As Public Safety Director, Richard Pichardo supervises the activities involved in investigating crimes, coordinating police responses to emergencies, and maintaining comprehensive reports, as well as overseeing Valor Security Services' daily operations.
Before he joined Valor Security Services, Richard Pichardo served as a law enforcement official throughout the state of Florida. Richard Pichardo's previous positions include Police Captain of the Town of Cutler Bay Policing Unit, as well as Police Sergeant, First Lieutenant, and Police Officer with forces in Miami-Dade County. During his distinguished career, Richard Pichardo earned accolades including the Bronze Medal of Valor, the Employee Excellence Award, and the Exceptional Service Award.
Richard Pichardo demonstrates his commitment to outstanding law enforcement and security services through his membership with such organizations as the Miami-Dade County Police Benevolent Association, the Hispanic Police Officers Association, the National Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors Association, and the National S.W.A.T. And Hostage Negotiator Association.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Richard Pichardo enjoys scuba diving, motorcycle riding, and competitive shooting. Richard Pichardo is also a regular volunteer with the Florida Law Enforcement Special Olympics and Habitat for Humanity.
