In 2005, Richard Kimball, Jr. accepted an offer to become a Managing Director in Equity Capital Markets at Goldman Sachs, in which he executes various types of financing for companies in the healthcare, retail, and consumer products industries. Today, Richard Kimball, Jr. is Co-Head of Global Healthcare Investment Banking and Co-head of the Healthcare, Consumer and Retail Financing Group at Goldman Sachs.

Lead the Firm’s Healthcare, Consumer and Retail Capital Markets business. Recently executed financings for Healthspring, Wellcare Health Plans, Amylin, Web MD Health, Myogen. Maintain active dialogue with major healthcare companies in all subsectors including large cap pharma, specialty pharma, biotech, medtech and healthcare services.
Morgan Stanley 2002-2005
Managing Director, Equity Capital Markets 2004-2005
Led the Firm’s Healthcare Equity Capital Markets business. Executed $3.1bn of healthcare equity new issues in 2004 including major convertible new issues for Imclone, Sepracor, Chiron, American Medical Optics, highly successful IPO and secondary for Wellcare Health Plans and follow-on offerings for Eyetech, Pharmion, Incyte, Amylin among others. Advised Renal Care Group in its $4bn sale to Fresenius.

Managed the Firm’s investment banking relationships in the managed care, hospital, distribution, pharmacy benefit management and healthcare IT sectors.
