About Raymond Zuppa
Raymond Joseph Zuppa began his post-secondary career at The University of New Mexico where he studied political science and graduated with distinction in 1986. In 1993, Raymond Joseph Zuppa returned to Hempstead, New York, attending Hofstra Law School. At Hofstra, Raymond Joseph Zuppa excelled, graduating third in his class. Additionally, Raymond Joseph Zuppa won three awards: the Outstanding Law Student Award, given annually to one student from the graduating class who best exemplified the ideals of the legal profession; the Constitutional Law Award, given to the student most proficient in the study of constitutional law; and the Criminal Justice Award, earned by the student who excels at studying criminal law.
After earning his Juris Doctor, Raymond Joseph Zuppa began working in Brooklyn, New York, at the Office of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant District Attorney for the Rackets Division, Raymond Joseph Zuppa investigated and prosecuted major organized crime and public corruption. One of Raymond Joseph Zuppa’s larger endeavors, Operation Gateway, used electronic listening devices and undercover operations in order to investigate organized Russian crime. These endeavors resulted in over 200 arrests.
In 2005, Raymond Joseph Zuppa founded The Zuppa Firm PLLC in Brooklyn. As the founder and owner, Raymond Joseph Zuppa drafts motions, appeals, and other legal documents and argues cases before the federal and state courts. Additionally, he supervises counsel and private investigators as well as performs his own investigations in preparation for trial. Under his direction, the firm maintains its commitment to provide free legal services for the poor and focuses on causes that bring social justice to consumers. Among his more notable cases, Raymond Joseph Zuppa cleared a World War II veteran from the charge of second degree murder 55 years after the original conviction and also helped in the creation of the Runner Bill.
In his free time, Raymond Joseph Zuppa enjoys coaching and offers his services as a head coach for Smithtown Youth Football. Additionally, Raymond Joseph Zuppa supports the World Wildlife Fund and The Nature Conservancy.
