Ravi Udayakumar is a professional poker player. He was born in 1966 in Colombo, Sri Lanka where he grew up buy now he resides in San Jose, California.

Ravi Udayakumar now works as a manufacturing engineer but before his present profession he had worked as a blackjack dealer in Toronto. And this experience led him to the other side - as a poker player, and a good one. His first appearance on a tournament was on August 20, 2000, in the Speedway of Poker ll Event #1 - Limit Hold'em, where he finished 6th and won $627. Ravi Udayakumar took part in several tournaments before he made it to the final table at the World Poker Tour in 2004. Those tournaments were The 4th Annual Thunder by the Bay Limit Hold'em, Speedway of Poker III Limit Hold'em, $225,000 Gold Rush No Limit Hold'em, San Francisco Open Event #2 - No Limit Hold'em, $250,000 Battle of the Bay No Limit Hold'em where he finished 1st, 2004 Shooting Star - WPT Season 2 Event #3 - No Limit Hold'em and Battle of the Bay - 7th Anniversary No Limit Hold'em. On March 3, 2006, was his greatest achievement ever. At the 2004 Bay 101 Shooting Star No-Limit Hold'em Championship $9,600 buy-in Ravi Udayakumar finished 2nd and took home a check for $629,500. And that was the biggest score he ever reached. But hopefully not for long!

The last appearance of Ravi Udayakumar on a tournament was on November 11, 2007 in the Gold Rush No Limit Hold'em Championship. He was placed 13th and won a prize for $3.200. In his career Ravi Udayakumar had 6 final table finishes and 7 money finishes. His total live tournament winnings exceed $724,498.
