Ravichandran Ashwin is an Indian cricketer who became known after his stint in the Indian Premier League where he played for the Chennai Super Kings team.
Born on September 17, 1986, in Tamil Nadu, this right-arm off break spinner bowls some real good spins and yorkers with just a flick of his wrist. Ravichandran Ashwin’s swinging deliveries and pacing high-arm action catches the eye of many a cricket lovers and tosses more than just a few wickets.
At the moment, Ashwin’s hands are full what with 31 wickets under his name in his U-20 debut at the Ranji Trophy 2006-07 season alone. His sizzling performance mingled with the efforts of co-players lead the way to victory for Tamil Nadu in the Ranji. With his all-rounder capabilities, Ravichandran Ashwin impressed all and sundry with both his batting as well as bowling in the following season but an awful wrist injury resulted in his exit from the team for four weeks even as the season was still on. Ashwin has participated in 10 T20 matches so far and hauled 10 wickets. His individual best is 3 for 15. Under the efficient captainship of M S Dhoni, Ravichandran Ashwin delivered excellent performance in the IPL.
