About Ramis Gheith
St. Louis-based anesthesiologist Dr. Ramis Gheith runs the Interventional Pain Institute, a private outpatient clinic he founded in 2010. Dr. Gheith established the Institute to treat patients afflicted with chronic pain due to illness or injury as well as the treatment of a variety of conditions characterized by consistent pain such as arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, degenerative disc disease, metastatic cancer, trigeminal neuralgia, and spondylosis.
Dr. Ramis Gheith employs state-of-the-art treatments including lumbar radiofrequency neurotomy, spinal cord stimulator implants, stellate ganglion block procedures, and costovertebral blocks. Dr. Gheith works collaboratively with other healthcare specialists in the treatment of chronic pain, including spine surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, psychiatrists, psychologists, neurologists, and oncologists as required. Dr. Ramis Gheith prides himself on his approach to patient care that centers on providing a compassionate and stress-free environment at his clinic.
Dr. Ramis Gheith is a Diplomate of The American Board of Anesthesiology. He also has a subspecialty board certification in Pain Medicine from that same accrediting agency. Dr. Ramis Gheith earned his Medical Doctorate degree at the Saba University School of Medicine, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Dr. Gheith completed his specialized residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and his fellowship at Chicago’s Rush University Medical Center, where he also served as an Instructor of Anesthesiology.
After his fellowship, Dr. Ramis Gheith was appointed the Director of Pain Management for the Carle Clinic Association of Illinois. He later served as a staff Medical Doctor at Metro West Anesthesia Group Inc. prior to founding his private practice where he now serves the greater St. Louis community with his professional drive and expertise.
