Rachel Chimera - Professional Summary:  A multi-talented professional with a background in entertainment and fine dining, Rachel Chimera currently splits her time among a variety of endeavors in San Francisco, California. Commanding a highly diversified professional history, Rachel Chimera began to lay the academic foundations for her career while an undergraduate at the University of Missouri—St. Louis. The recipient of a combined athletic and academic scholarship, she played for the UMSL Riverwomen (now the Tritons Women’s Basketball Team) and studied English, women’s studies, psychology, and other subjects. In addition to her studies at UMSL, Ms. Chimera served as a Research Assistant to Professor Suzanna Rose on the Anti-Violence Project, developed and answered phones for a community outreach hotline, and worked within the St. Louis LGBT community. Rachel Chimera also took part in study abroad programs in literature at Utrecht University in the Netherlands and in dance and theater opportunities at Saint Louis University – Madrid Campus in Spain. An outstanding student, Ms. Chimera graduated magna cum laude from UMSL with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and subsequently embarked on a multifaceted career.

Since college, Rachel Chimera has acted, tended bar, and served as an assistant on a variety of independent film projects. While living in Honolulu, Hawaii, for 18 months, she filmed and interviewed subjects for a documentary on a local band, Kings of Spade (then X-Factor). Other roles held by Rachel Chimera include Assistant Casting Director for commercials; Assistant Director on the short film Jesse’s Reasons; and Personal Assistant to writer, performer, and filmmaker Lynne Breedlove on her short film Godspeed. At present, Ms. Chimera resides in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley neighborhood. She recently worked as an assistant to prop stylist Lauren Shields on a photo shoot in Hawaii.
