About Preston Tsao
Preston Tsao - Professional Summary:
After graduating cum laude from Columbia Law School, Preston Tsao spent four years as a Corporate Law Associate in the New York offices of Chadbourne & Parke LLP. With a solid grounding in corporate and securities law, Preston Tsao gravitated toward a career in finance. He went on to become an investment manager, an investment banker in the fields of biotechnology and health care, and a respected financial advisor. Having successfully formed investment management concerns and developed institutional and individual client bases, Preston Tsao opened Metcircle Networking LLC in 1991. A members-only network of around 100 high-net-worth families, Metcircle Networking offers casual, private meetings several times a month during which members can share experience with distress investing and credit default swaps, as well as information regarding asset allocation, private equity, municipal bonds, real estate, and emerging markets.
Preston Tsao also invites guest speakers to make presentations to Metcircle members. Some of the more prominent experts have included fund managers Izzy Englander, Henry Kravis, and Jim Simons, as well as former Goldman Sachs CEO Stephen Friedman and former Federal Reserve Bank of New York President William McDonough. Members who are unable to attend in person can participate in meetings through live conference call lines, or by subsequently accessing archived audios and PowerPoint presentations of meetings. Growing demand for opening up Metcircle membership has led Tsao to create satellite groups in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. Seeking to better serve his members with appropriate investment opportunities, Preston Tsao created Metcircle Securities LLC in 2005, a firm registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
