Pradeep Sangwan is a promising Indian cricketer, who was born on November 5, 1990 in Rasiwas, Delhi. He is a left-arm medium pace bowler and a right-handed batsman.


Pradeep Sangwan was a member of the victorious Indian team at the Under-19 (U-19) World Cup 2008, held in Malaysia. In this tournament, he bagged 8 wickets, including a match in which he made a five-wicket haul by giving 44 runs, which was crucial for India’s victory against South Africa.


Pradeep Sangwan played for the Delhi Under-15 (U-15) team in 2005 and scalped 31 wickets in 6 matches he played for the team. Pradeep Sangwan made his First-class debut for Delhi in 2007-08 Ranji Trophy season, against Rajasthan at Delhi and he scalped 33 wickets at an average of 19.24 during the tournament. As of 2008, he has played in nine First-class matches and bagged 39 wickets at an average of 20.87 with an economy rate of 3.01, with his career best being five wickets for 46 runs. He played his last First-class match against Rest of India at Vadodra on September 2008. Pradeep Sangwan debuted in List A match during the 2006-07 season, and since then, he played 6 matches and took 13 wickets at an average of 22.23. He played his last List A match for North Zone against East Zone at Visakhapatnam on March 26, 2008, in which he took 3 wickets and scored 69* runs.


For his effective reverse swinging capability, Pradeep Sangwan was signed by Delhi Daredevils to play at Indian Premier League (IPL) 2008 inaugural season, and bagged 2 wickets in 5 matches he played.


Pradeep Sangwan draws his inspiration from Wasim Akram, a famous Pakistani bowler. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to music.
