Plaza College, founded in 1916 and known as “the college for business and medical careers” offers specialized attention to each individual student “from registration to graduation.” While the student body is made up of about 750 full-time students, Plaza takes a personal interest in EVERY student to provide an educational experience in which success is the ultimate goal. Given the demographic that the College serves, the non-traditional adult student learner, Plaza tries to fit college around the lives of its students. Therefore, classes are offered in the day, afternoon, evening, and on the weekend to accommodate all!
In addition to offering classes at a variety of times to suit any student’s schedule, Plaza College provides financial aid programs to help make higher education affordable for all. Plaza College Financial Aid Services personnel are available to assist students in securing loans, grants, or scholarships from the federal government or private sources. Plaza College representatives possess experience in the Direct PLUS Loan program, the Federal Pell Grant Program, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs educational benefits program, also known as the GI Bill. Funding your education is another piece of the puzzle; that’s why Plaza College provides Financial Aid to those that qualify—to make college affordable to achieve your dreams. The purpose of financial aid programs is to remove any financial barriers that may prevent you from pursuing your educational and professional goals. By working on your packaging together, our career counselors will explain how to pay your way through college and reach your goals even quicker! There are a variety of financial assistance options, tailored to your specific educational path. Whether you are a transfer student and want to apply, want to earn an Associate degree, a Bachelor's degree, or a certificate, Plaza College offers many financial aid programs to those that qualify.
Plaza College’s commitment to its students does not stop at graduation, as the school offers job placement assistance to all alumni. The Office of Career Services helps with resume preparation and offers tips on how to interview well for open jobs, as well as career planning services. Currently, Plaza College maintains a 90% job placement rate.
