About Phil Young
Phil Young is the former Mayor of the small city of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, which has a population of more than 70,000 people. Eden Prairie was recently named the number-one city to live in by Money Magazine. In 2008, during the first year of Phil Young’s term as Mayor, Eden Prairie was named by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 10 cities to retire. Phil Young previously served on the Eden Prairie City Council from 2003 to 2007. In his capacity as Mayor, Phil Young leads a city possessing more than 2,200 businesses within its city limits including SuperValu, ADC Telecommunications, and the Minnesota Vikings professional football team. Eden Prairie is located next to the busy Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. Eden Prairie serves as the hub of a number of Minnesota’s busiest thoroughfares, including Interstate 494 and Highways 5, 169, and 212. Phil Young also serves as Director of the TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union. Phil Young functions as a successful Trial Lawyer who specializes in business, banking, and employment litigation for individuals, privately held companies, and publicly traded corporations. He also possesses seven years of prior experience as a first and second chair trial lawyer, defending manufacturers of chemical and petroleum products from toxic tort litigation.
