Peter Robert Casey - Professional Summary:

Peter Robert Casey is a basketball columnist, coach, tournament/event planner, and online social media strategist.

 

Peter currently serves as Director of Sponsorships and Business Development for the Entertainer's Basketball Classic (EBC) at the legendary Rucker Park in Harlem, NY. He is also responsible for coordinating the EBC's first-ever outdoor AAU tournament and for planning and executing the EBC's online social media strategy.

 

In addition to his duties at Rucker Park, Peter hosts a basketball blog, writes freelance basketball articles, and serves as a guest blogger for Bounce Magazine and Maximum Hoops. His work has appeared on the web pages of SLAMonline, ESPN The Magazine, Collegehoops.net, and 411hoops.com.

 

During the 2004-2005 high school basketball season, Peter was as an Assistant Coach for the S.S. Seward (Florida, NY) boy's varsity team. He played a key role in the team's 21-3 record (8-0 conference) record and Division VI and Section 9 Class D Championships. Peter has worked at numerous basketball camps over the years and hopes to return to the sidelines for the 2009-2010 season.

 

He holds an M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and a B.S. in Business Economics - from SUNY College at Oneonta. Peter is a member of the United States Basketball Writer's Association, Metropolitan Basketball Writer's Association, National Association of Basketball Coaches, and the Basketball Coaches Association of New York.
