Peter Feldman from Harper Woods, Michigan, is a professional poker player. He owes his success to the silver screen, as the movie Rounders inspired him to play poker rather than build sailing boat masts with his father. It turned out to be fruitful decision for him, and he now has a reputation as a strong and respected player in both live and online tournaments.

The major breakthrough in his career came in Event 7 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit No-Limit Hold’em Championship at the Harrah’s New Orleans Poker Tournament on May 28, 2006. Peter Feldman played brilliantly and walked away with $532,950 in prize money and the prestigious gold and diamond ring for finishing first in the tournament.


Peter Feldman also had a couple of consecutive wins in 2007, starting in the month of February and continuing through August. On February 22, 2007, he had an impressive first-place finish in Event 11 WSOP Circuit No-Limit Championship at the Harrah's Rincon Poker Tournament and bagged a handsome amount of $280,859. The following month Peter Feldman finished thirty-ninth, earning $15,000 in the World Poker Tour (WPT) No-Limit Hold’em Championship at the Bay 101 Shooting Star. In April 2007, he won $55,025 by securing a respectable fourth-place finish in the No-Limit Hold’em Event at the WPT World Championship. Peter Feldman made another $9,778 by coming twenty-fifth in Event 9 WSOP Circuit No-Limit Hold’em Championship at the Caesars Las Vegas Poker Tournament in May 2007. Late in next month, he took home $3,011 from Event 49 WSOP No-Limit Hold’em at the 38th Annual WSOP, which was held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. On July 2, 2007, Peter Feldman ranked twenty-third in Event 52 WSOP No-Limit Hold’em at the 38th Annual WSOP and earned $20,973. He had another win in July 2007 and added $58,570 to his bankroll during Event 55 - WSOP No-Limit Hold’em Championship at the 38th Annual WSOP. Peter Feldman also ranked thirteenth in the WPT No-Limit Hold’em Championship at the Legends of Poker WPT Event Season 6 and took home $43,440 in prize money on August 30, 2007.


In January 2008, Peter Feldman walked away with $18,984 by finishing thirty-seventh in Event 12 No-Limit Hold’em at the Crown Aussie Millions Championship, which had a prize pool of AU$7,800,000.00. He had another impressive finish come his way on June 25, 2008 in Event 44 WSOP No-Limit Hold’em at the 39th WSOP. In this event, which was held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, he secured a twelfth-place finish and won $39,854. As of 2008, Peter Feldman is one of only two players ever to win two championship events on the World Series of Poker Circuit.

Peter Feldman, whose favorite movie is Krull, aspires to win more poker tournaments.
