LLOYDS BANKING GROUP, NORTHERN EUROPE, APRIL 2010 – PRESENT
Wholesale Europe (WE) Migration Manager
Successfully migrated the WE Spain Business to Northern Europe. Responsible for defining the migration plan, running the numerous migration rehearsal workshops across three countries and implementing and managing the migration plan through to delivery and successful go live.
Established a Migration Control Centre with a centralised control structure and daily plans for all Business SMEs detailing their tasks. Clear control and incident management processes were developed and socialised with the Business for signoff. Strict processes to ensure a clear audit trail of activities and actions were established so as to ensure compliance with internal and external Banking risk regulations and to maintain transparency. Post migration activities were developed and implemented to ensure a smooth transition to BAU activities with a defined warranty period for post migration support.
Programme Test Manager
Test manager on an International strategic migration project for Wholesale Banking Europe. Managing the E2E and cross dependency testing, across three countries, as part of the programme to migrate the corporate customers away from the Retail systems. The migration involved the redevelopment of the existing Business processes, as the existing back office function will be migrated from Spain to The Netherlands. Responsible for the testing to prove the Banks’ capability to remain operational at go live; both from a customer experience point of view as well as from a regulatory point of view. Responsible for managing the programme interfaces to the parallel project to migrate the Retail Business to a new legal entity.
ARDENTA LTD, UK, FEBRUARY 2010 – MARCH 2010
Technical Consultant
Working as a consultant to end clients such as The Tote, reviewed the technical infrastructure and Business processes in the context of PCI DSS V1.2 compliance. The recommendations made in the resultant technical paper, both Technical and Business change related, enable the appropriate solutions to be deployed to ensure DCI DSS compliance.
- Delivered technical proposals to ensure compliance with a number of the PCI DSS (version 1.2.1 July 2009) requirements.
WILLIAM HILL ONLINE, UK, AUGUST 2009 – NOVEMBER 2009
Technical Consultant
At the request of the CTO undertook a systemic technical review following the implementation of the Gibraltar based William Hill Online system. Investigated the testing to date, the technologies employed (Orbis, HP/UX, Informix, EMC SAN, Snapview, RecoverPoint, Dataprotector, ServiceGuard) and failover and offsite DR capability.
- The critically acclaimed published report made 23 recommendations that would reduce risk and improve the ROI; these are being evaluated for implementation.
BRITISH TELECOMMUNICATIONS PLC, UK, 2006 – AUGUST 2009
Programme Manager
BT Operate (BTO) is one of the group of companies that make up BT PLC. BTO has the responsibility to accept into service, and maintain, new systems and developments often initiated by BT Retail (BTR) and BT Design (BTD). Represented BTO’s interests whilst evaluating and advising BTD and BTR on solution designs. Had full project autonomy including senior stakeholder reporting and budgetary control. Assembled appropriate project teams, built the appropriate BTO technical environments to support the new projects and undertake the testing. Directed a team in excess of 50 people in a 90%/10% offshore/onshore resource model.
Managed a portfolio of up to 12 concurrent projects including some of the highest profile projects BT is currently engaged with such as Super Fast Broad Band; total committed budget in excess of £40M.
Worked with numerous 3rd parties, such as Sony and Vodafone, on joint, high profile retail projects.
Managed testing programmes for CRM applications, Internet applications, B2B and B2C projects, billing, specialist pre-pay mobile technology and appliance testing.
- Delivered all projects to time, quality and cost.
- Yielded cost savings in excess of £2M per year as a result of the offshore/onshore resource model.
- Accolades from BTR for having delivered the most successful testing programme for a Retail product launch.
- Implemented a dedicated data provision function and request tracking system to support data requests from various testing teams throughout the group. Subsequently adopted by Accenture.

Project Manager
Ardenta are a technical services company specialising in the Gaming industry. The have a number of very high profile clients such as William Hill, The Tote and CentreBet. Project managed a number of infrastructure projects for Ardenta’s clients such as The Tote, 32red and CentreBet. Typically infrastructure projects working with the end client to fully define the requirements and then project managed the requirements to completion.
- Defined and managed the successful project to relocate key services to Gibraltar
MUSGRAVE GROUP LTD, UK and Ireland, 2005 – 2006
Project Manager
The largest symbol retail group in the UK with over 2500 stores. Project manager to define and execute the project plan to relocate Musgrave’s primary outsourced data-center. Worked with the client to define the requirements, defined the technical and Business change programme plans.
- Successfully managed the programme to completion on time, within budget and to the required quality.
- Successfully managed a critical project issue by enacting the project contingency plan to sustain the Business throughout the issue.

- Strategic redesign of a client's IT systems’ infrastructure as part of a successful plan to reduce the IT budget to <1% of revenue whilst maintaining service levels.
- Design, specification, procurement and implementation of a major UNIX enterprise server technology refresh including the implementation of SAN technologies.
- Project managed the identification and implementation of technical developments to legacy Business Financial systems to improve system response and batch processing times.
- Project managed a major infrastructure, PC desktop and back-end server refresh project based on the concept of a homogeneous build.
- Implementation of RF based networking at a major distribution centre as part of a successful work package to improve reliability and service levels.
- Designed and project managed the implementation, using existing application and infrastructure resources, of a corporate Data-warehouse solution. Identified and augmented existing Business processes to benefit from the deployment of the DW.
- Analysis and redevelopment of existing ERP processes to support increased sales volumes and revised working practices; independent of the ERP vendor. Identified and implemented appropriate Business change requirements.
