About Penina Lam
Dr. Penina Lam - Professional Summary: I am a professional Talent Coach and OD Consultant.
I found my true calling in Talent coaching – guiding individuals and organizations to use their innate potential while making a positive difference - and I love it!
Over the last 10 years I have had very rewarding experiences serving in the higher education sector as a university professor (in the US); as a researcher; and as an OD Consultant and Project Manager in non-profit and corporate settings.
Ever since leaving my parents' home at 17 years, I have had wonderful opportunities visiting many countries from Brazil to Zanzibar and from Cape Town to York. I have also lived in four different countries (north and south) - experiences that have taught me life-changing lessons that have molded my global citizenship.
I combine my life experiences with an array of skills learned as part of my professional training in Leadership, Organizational Development, Adult Education, counseling, and teaching; to guide my clients seeking to improve their professional and personal lives.
I work with various ages and I particularly enjoy working with youth and young professionals (teens to mid 30s), so as to shape their thinking and direct their energies. I believe the right guidance and sufficient support should be provided at early age. I have had a great journey so far and love to share my insights chatting, listening, interviewing, and coaching.
Social Entrepreneurship: In 2003, I Co-founded the African Education Resource Center, a 501c3 charity supporting girls' education in Africa. I Chair the Board of Directors, working with a great team of volunteers to ensure that every girl gets educated!
