Paul Konchesky is an English footballer born on May 15, 1981 in Barking, London and attended the Eastbrook Comprehensive School in Dagenham. He plays in the left-back position and can also appear across the back four or in the midfield position. Paul Konchesky is known for his dynamic defending, ease in handling the ball, back attacking moves down the flanks and his ability to deliver decent crosses.
Paul Konchesky was selected for the England Under-21 football team in 2002, subsequent to which he made 15 appearances for the team. In February 2003, he made his debut for the senior England team as a half-time substitute in the friendly against Australia and in November 2005, he earned his second cap in the friendly against Argentina.
Paul Konchesky kicked off his football career by joining the youth set-up of West Ham United. In August 1997, he switched to Charlton Athletic as a trainee. At 16 he the club as a was part of the first team in the match against Oxford United, to become the youngest player to appear in the first team for Charlton.
Paul Konchesky went on a month-long loan to Tottenham Hotspur in September 2003, and played 12 matches for it. He was back at Charlton in December that year and represented the club .in 169 matches contributing six goals.
Paul Konchesky moved onto West Ham United in July 2005 for a fee of £1.5 million. He played 45 games for the team during the 2005–06 season, and was instrumental in the club’s ninth-place finish in the Premier League. He also helped the team reach 2006 Football Association (FA) Cup Final, against Liverpool, where, he scored a stunning goal for his team.
Paul Konchesky signed a four-year deal with Fulham in July 2007 for a fee believed to be around £3.25 million, and made his debut for the club in their match against Hull City. As of August 2008, he has made 33 appearances for Fulham.
