Paul Helbock



A longtime police officer with an impressive track record of service, Paul Helbock spent nearly 15 years performing various duties for the New York City Police Department. As Sergeant Supervisor of the Detective Squad and Supervisor of the Major Case Squad, Paul Helbock helped the NYPD and state and federal agencies apprehend a number of notorious criminals. Over the course of his career, Paul Helbock participated in more than 200 kidnapping and bank robbery investigations as Department Supervisor. In addition, Paul Helbock served as a key link to local and national news organizations as the NYPD Media Spokesman for Bank Robberies and was quoted on numerous occasions in the New York Times, the Boston Globe, and elsewhere. For six years, Paul Helbock provided invaluable assistance to the FBI Terrorism Task Force and the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) in their investigations of suspected terrorists and related organizations in the United States. Some notable investigations handled by Paul Helbock include the Beltway sniper attacks; the Albany, New York-based Masjid As-Salam mosque; the Buffalo Six (Lackawanna Cell); and others. Paul Helbock also served as Detective Investigator for the New York DEA Task Force, pursuing various narcotics dealers of international infamy. A graduate of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan, Paul Helbock earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Police Science. Paul Helbock currently maintains his certifications in law enforcement and knowledge of the latest developments in the industry through his memberships with the American Academy for Professional Law Enforcement (AAPLE) and the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) International. When not working, Paul Helbock enjoys making improvements to his house and reads whenever possible. Paul Helbock lives in Montrose, New York.
