pauleen cracknell - Professional Experience:     

 

Academically trained in the Legal arena with an honours LLB and PGdip in Legal Practice. I worked for the CPS before leaving to raise my family. When I returned to work it was part time for a friend in their recruitment company, I enjoyed meeting people and the whole buzz from attracting recruits to filling a vacancy and possibly because it was a challenge!! Everybody hates Lawyers and recruitment consultants and that was the challenge. I sat the REC recruitment exams and am now a professional member of the REC.

 

It was my need to bring in business and establish my own recruitment company that catapulted me into networking. I hated the idea of cold calling but I found it easy to build rapport, networking was the answer for me. I spent 6 months doing nothing but networking, connecting with people and building relationships. This started to bring the business in for me to a degree where I was 'out sourcing' my vacancies to other agencies. I did this mainly because I loved the networking and recruitment operations took up to much of my time. Eventually I put people in place to run the operations to free up my time to do what I enjoy and do best!

 

I am an effective networker and my established recruitment business which survives on referrals and contacts alone is proof of this. I began to receive many requests for help with making introductions, orchastrating meetings and generally connecting people. This I enjoyed but I had to make a living doing it so I set up Corporate Networkers, this company offers many services to various individuals and entities but all incompassing networking in some form. My biggest client in the recruitment business is an investment bank and I managed to obtain the meeting and win the contract through my networking and contacts made.

 

I felt that as my networking was effective and that others requested my help and guidance, It may be an idea to write and develop a Business networking skills course based on my own experiences, styles and beliefs. I took this course to a peer board and had it accredited so that those who embarked on my course received value for money. They learn how to be an effective networker, take away adaptable models to use and receive an accreditation which is recognized by higher education and other training facilities and providers, and in the very near future, employers everywhere! Our clients range from individuals, sole traders, SMEs and corporations and our services can be tailored to any specifications and needs!!

University whilst Housewife & Mother with two very young children. Obtained an honours degree in Law (LLB) and then went on to Law school to obtain the professional certificate in Legal Practice to conclude the academic level.  

 

REC trained and sat the professional certificate exams to enter the REC as professional member.

Love to laugh, dance, be comical and meet new people. Networking is a passion but do not attend many organised networking events as I network selectively to be effective and hold more with one 2 one meetings as relationships and not business cards is the objective! I enjoy the business environment, its challenges and dated traditions and although my profile is Star/Creator, I have been known to broker deals and be a supporter.

 

I am not keen on pubs or cinamas but like a nice wine bar or club and going to the theatre.

 

If I get time to read then it would be a crime thriller or Autobiograpthy. I love to absorb new information and knowledge and study business strategies and theories of the business environment and the communication within it!

 

Love to spend time with friends, a debate, a laugh, a practical joke but also enjoy my own company and my thinking time!

 

 

Describing myself:

 

Friendly, down to earth, good sense of humour, like to help others. I can also be direct, assertive and get the job done, you will always know where you stand. I can be motivational, inspirational, creative and passionate but also bull headed and hard hitting! I love a challenge but hate being told, 'I can't or its not possible' I oftn take on more than I should and will often be juggling 2 or 3 projects at a time. I crave a relaxed lifestyle but when I achieve it I look for a new project and tend to be on the go from sunrise to sunset!!
