Patrick Schaal

Chicago resident Patrick Schaal serves as Enterprise Account Manager in the Information Technology (IT) Division of CA Technologies, responsible for maintaining and improving IT effectiveness for the company’s clients in the Chicago area. Prior to this position, Mr. Schaal worked in CA Technologies’ New York City office, assisting customers in Chicago and in the Northeast. In 2000, Mr. Schaal received a Bachelor’s of Education in Recreational Therapy from the University of Toledo. Schaal worked as a therapist for several years, first with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, then with New-York Presbyterian Hospital. Educating healthcare staff members as well as patients was a key aspect of Schaal’s work in these early positions.

In 2006, Patrick Schaal moved into sales when he joined Publicis Selling Solutions. While there, Schaal assisted psychiatrists and primary care physicians in prescription drug selection, recommending Rozerem and Amitiza in particular. In 2007, Schaal took the education of health professionals in another direction in his capacity as Account Manager for Wright Medical Technology, Inc. He provided real-time operating room support for surgeons, medical directors, and residents in the placement of devices used in joint and upper-extremity surgeries. The following year, as a Healthcare Account Executive at EMC Corporation, he developed relationships with top-level care providers and began working with IT as it relates to improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare organizations.

Patrick Schaal’s work with CA Technologies began in 2010, and he has been instrumental in facilitating communication with clients via partnerships, mailings, and telemarketing. Establishing new customer bases in his territories also constitutes a significant part of Schaal’s job. When not at work, Mr. Schaal enjoys running and playing rugby and soccer. Additionally, he stays abreast of developments in emerging technologies and enjoys traveling. Schaal admires Albert Einstein and Sir Winston Churchill and includes Bill Bryson and James Gleick among his favorite authors.
