About Patrick McEachen
Accomplished amateur hockey player Patrick McEachen most recently served as co-captain of the Junior A Wellington Dukes team. During the Central Canadian Hockey League (CCHL) playoffs in 2010, Patrick McEachen became the top scoring defenseman. Patrick McEachen began ice skating at the age of two and has amassed over a decade of experience in the sport.
In addition to his talent as an athlete, Patrick McEachen recognizes the importance of education and has consistently excelled in school. Patrick McEachen earned particularly high marks in French language classes and Canadian history classes. Patrick McEachen completed his primary education at the Glad Park French Immersion Public School with honors before entering Brother Andre Catholic High School.
In high school, Patrick McEachen continued to balance school and sports and played on the school's junior varsity hockey team during his second year before earning a place on the senior varsity team in his third year. In 2007, Patrick McEachen and the senior varsity team were awarded the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) Bronze Medals.
Before tackling a career in professional hockey, Patrick McEachen will attend university in the fall of 2010 to obtain a business degree. After he retires from hockey, Patrick McEachen intends to pursue a business career.
Outside of his responsibilities as a full time student and amateur hockey player, Patrick McEachen enjoys volunteering with the Salvation Army.
