About Patrick Hyatt
Patrick Hyatt - Professional Summary: In 1994, therapeutic endoscopist and gastroenterologist Dr. Patrick Hyatt earned two bachelor’s degrees in government and biology from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He subsequently moved to Pittsburgh, where he studied Pre-Medicine at Duquesne University. In 2000, Dr. Patrick Hyatt earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia.
In 2003, Dr. Patrick Hyatt completed his residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island; he also completed a fellowship from Brown University, mastering procedures such as endoscopies, biopsies, therapeutic dilation, and ablation.
Dr. Patrick Hyatt joined The Melissa L. Posner Institute for Digestive Health and Liver Disease in 2006 and now serves as Director of the Institute’s Heartburn Center. The Baltimore-based center, originally called Dr. Posner, Cox and Associates, specializes in diagnosing and treating gastroenterological disease.
Dr. Patrick Hyatt gave several presentations at the Brown University Department of Gastroenterology, including “Chemoprevention of Colon Cancer” and “Primary Biliary Cirrhosis – Pathophysiology, Natural History and Clinical Management” in 2004 and “Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis – Pathophysiology and Endoscopic Management” in 2005. Dr. Patrick Hyatt also presented “Endoscopic Management of Dysplastic Barrett’s” at the 1st Annual Consensus and Controversies in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mercy Medical Center in 2009. Dr. Patrick Hyatt is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
