Parisa Foroozanmanesh

A Student Advocate for the Portland Community College Women’s Resource Center, Parisa Foroozanmanesh equips students with problem solving and critical thinking techniques to help them cope with a frenetic academic life. Parisa Foroozanmanesh also conducts training programs for students interested in filling leadership positions. Serving underserved communities as well, Parisa Foroozanmanesh leads projects such as food drives to deliver resources to people in need. A dual-enrolled student of Portland State University and Portland Community College, Parisa Foroozanmanesh is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in International Trade and Investment Policy, intending to develop the networking skills requisite to attain her dreams of establishing a global foundation providing education and healthcare to children.

 

She previously earned her Associate of Science from PCC, double-majoring in Environmental Science and Business. Before returning to school, Parisa Foroozanmanesh led a successful career in retail sales, launched as a Sales Associate for Na Hoku, Inc., in Tigard, Oregon, where she sent home more than 1,000 commissioned-classified pieces of Hawaiian gold and gemstone with satisfied customers. Parisa Foroozanmanesh further honed her abilities as a Sales Associate in a position with a mobile solutions dealer of T-Mobile products. Activating more than 10 phones per day and clarifying complicated contracts and technology to inquiring customers, she consistently met personal and store quotas.

 

From cellular device sales, Parisa Foroozanmanesh ventured briefly into sunglasses retail, serving as a Sales Specialist during one summer in Irvine, California, where her responsibilities included managing shipments and deposits as well as aiding customers in identifying the best set of frames for their needs and preferred style. Since returning to Portland, Parisa Foroozanmanesh has served Car Toys, Inc., as a Sales Specialist where she worked closely with her team to meet company quotas; Aflac Incorporated as an Independent Agent and Producer for the life and health insurance business; and as an Account Executive for Zones, Inc., where she applied her extensive knowledge of sales to connect business clients with information technology hardware and software.
