About Oren Katzen
I graduated high school in June, 2008 with a 3.78 grade point average. I am 20 years old and am currently fulfilling my compulsory military service in Israel. I expect to be discharged from the army in July 2012 and hope to matriculate in the fall semester of the 2012-13 academic year.
I took the SAT in October, 2010 and received a cumulative score of 2080, comprised of: writing 660, critical reading 680, math 740.
I have been playing volleyball since age 12. When I was in the 8th grade, I was recruited to the residential volleyball program at the Wingate Institute of Sports program for gifted athletes in Netanya, Israel. I spent four years in the Wingate boarding school where I played on the Israeli youth and junior national teams, of which I was the captain. Since graduation, during my military service, I have practiced regularly with the Israeli senior national team.

March 2008: Qualification Junior European Championships (Croatia)
April 2009: Memorial Ferrucio Cornacchia Tournament (Italy)
May 2009: Training Camp against Austrian Junior National Team (Austria)
May 2009: Qualification Junior World Championships (Italy)
