Best Fishing Lure Parts Review

Fishing is among the most relaxing pastimes there is, it’s simply amazing being out in nature’s beauty, exploring your favorite stream or lake, chasing your favorite fish. A lure is one of the most important pieces of equipment used by fisher men to attract fish , and combining different lure parts is the best way to make your own lures.  Fishes are naturally attracted to anything that they will see as their food and lures can mimic the food that fish want. But in order to mimic live food of fish, lure parts must me shinny and must be kept moving.

Making your own lures from lure parts can be a very inexpensive way to keep your hobby alive.  If you’ve ever fished in spots that you know have lots of obstacles under the water, you have probably lost a lure or two.  That can be very annoying, especially if you’ve spent a pretty penny on that lure, and losing can be very frustrating.  You know fish are hiding in that spot, but you’re probably won’t cast there if you think you’re going to lose your lure…after all, no one wants to throw away money.  But, if you have a bunch of lure parts and make your own lures, then it’s no sweat if you lose that lure - you can simply make another one when you get home.  Plus, with all the different lure parts available, you can make custom lures for any situation: muddy waters, clear waters, waters with lots of vegetation, and you can test different variations to get the best possible lure.

SPOONS are round, flat pieces of metal that look like…well a spoon.  These lure parts can be polished to a shine, or colored on both sides.  When a spoon is polished, this lure part reflects light and looks like a minnow which is very appetizing to certain bigger fish. There is an eye at one end of the spoon where you can attach a single hook or a 3-pronged hook.  At the opposite side of the spoon is the other hole where you attach your fishing line, just make sure you tie it up properly.  A spoon has a very nice weight to it, which makes this lure part very easy to cast quite far.  Its weight also makes the spoon good for trolling and it is easy to retrieve.

Plugs are another great lure.  Plugs can be made entirely from wood or plastic lure parts that look like minnows or other fish that large fish like to eat.  A plug can resemble prey like crayfish, salamanders, rodents and other yummy treats.  Plugs don’t really use a lot of lure parts, except for hooks, but are quite effective nonetheless.  They can be anywhere from 1 inch to 8 inches long, depending on the type of fish you want to land.  There are also topwater plugs, commonly known as ‘ poppers’, which float on the water and imitate small frogs or baitfish that splash around in the water.  Floater-diver plugs are another great type of plug that have up to seven hooks on their underside.  Floater-diver plugs have more lure parts that regular plugs.  Lure parts like small plastic (or metal) scoops called lips near the end where you tie your line.  When you start to reel a floater-diver in, it dives under the water, it then floats back up to the surface when you stop reeling. These lure parts look like real fish, and entices larger fish to eat it.

Making your own lures from various lure parts is a excellent idea.  You can experiment with different lure parts, assembling them in different variations to find out what works best.  Plus you can customize them for different situations…murky or muddy waters, clear waters, water with a lot of weeds in it, and so one.  You can also use different lure parts to attract different fish, and if you lose that lure, no problem, just grab your lure parts and make another one!
