Niles Goodsite - Professional Summary: Golf and travel enthusiast Danny Shabat owns several nursing homes and other health care companies in the Chicago area. Since moving to Chicago in 1977, Danny Shabat has purchased the Royal Gardens Nursing Home, Diplomat Nursing Home, and Senn Park Nursing Home. He has since renamed Royal Gardens to the Waterford Nursing Home, Inc., and Senn Park to Heritage Nursing Home, Inc. Daniel Shabat also acquired several other businesses inside and outside the spectrum of health and wellness. These other companies include LifeScan Laboratory, Inc., PharMore Drugs, LLC, Shabat Investments LLC, DSFA Inc., Daas Management, and the Edison, New Jersey-based Micro Innovations Corp.
Aside from his professional career, Danny Shabat keeps busy with numerous community service organizations and charities. An active member of Adas Yeshurun Synagogue, he serves as a Board Member for Helping Hands and The Wisconsin Institute for Torah Study. Previously, Shabat acted as President of the Arie Crown Hebrew Day School and Adas B’nei Israel Synagogue.
Originally from Washington, D.C., Danny Shabat moved to Brooklyn, New York, when he was 14. He attended Mirrer Yeshiva before enrolling at Brooklyn College. While pursuing his education in Brooklyn, Daniel Shabat worked at several catering companies and a New York telephone company. In 1977, he relocated to Chicago with his wife, Margie, and began his professional career in the health care industry.
