About Nikolaos Spiridellis

Nikolaos Spiridellis - Professional Summary:

Educated at Queens College and The City College of New York, Nikolaos Spiridellis founded Spiridellis & Associates, Inc., in 1974. Specializing in information technologies, technology strategies, communications, and systems programming, Spiridellis & Associates was the first Tandem OEM in the United States, and developed and sold mainframe-computer software packages. When Nikolaos Spiridellis sold the company to Cap Gemini Sogeti in 1983, annual revenue had increased from $75,000 per year in 1974 to $18 million. Nikolaos Spiridellis acquired and became the President of CompEd Learning Centers, Inc. in 1984. Originally a training company for data processing specialists, Nikolaos Spiridellis changed the focus of the business to meet the burgeoning demands of the new PC market, developing a series of courses licensed across the United States. CompEd offered the first PC training centers available anywhere in the world and trained most financial company personnel in PC skills, including the scientists of Los Alamos Laboratories. During his first two years at CompEd, Mr. Spiridellis nearly quadrupled corporate revenues. A pioneer in connectivity, he founded CompEd Career Conferences, Inc., as a complement to his learning centers. The corporation hosted conferences designed to bring companies and technology workers together. Taking advantage of new developments in computers and in the IT field, Nikolaos Spiridellis founded two additional companies in the 1980s: the Spiridellis Consulting Group, Inc. in 1986 and VOISYS Systems Corporations in 1988. The Consulting Group expanded rapidly, attaining revenues of $6 million within 2 years, when it merged with the $80 million Raycomm Transworld Industries, Inc. Mr. Spiridellis acted as Executive Vice President for the merged companies. He retired from his position at Raycomm in 1999. Simultaneously with his responsibilities at Raycomm, Nikolaos Spiridellis employed interactive voice response technologies at VOISYS to develop loan-by-phone systems for car and mortgage loans. With the advent of the Internet, VOISYS has since added a variety of lead generation services. Nikolaos Spiridellis is also the CEO and founder of CONTACT-911, a firm specializing in emergency communication systems. A member of Charitable Endeavors, LLC, Mr. Spiridellis supports a variety of nonprofit entities, including the Wounded Warrior Project and children’s charities in his Florida community.
