 Professional Summary:   An academic by profession with over 15 years of university teaching and consulting experience in the UK, Turkey and US. Author of the books titled "Global Economic and Public Policy Framework' and 'The Privatization of the Economy'. At present, completing a book in marketing under the title of 'Loyalty Marketing.

 

Professional Experience: Teaching and consulting experiences are mainly in the areas of marketing, hospitality and tourism as well as in public and economic policies. Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. Educational and professional experiences cover several contries, including the USA and Westren Europe. Have published and presented in seevral conferences.

 

Education:  Born in Sri Lanka but educated mainly in the west: Bachelors degree from the University of Charleston, WVA, USA and Masters degree from Virginia Tech in public policy and urban affairs. Other postgraduate qualifications include studies in France and M Phil from Oxford Brookes University in the UK. Postgraduate Diploma holder of the Chartered Institute of Marketin.

 

Interests:    Main interests at present are in global issues and global public policies. Other interests include travel, people, culture, food etc. Lived in several countries either for studies or work, including in Italy, France, Turkey, USA. and UK
