Nancy Reye - Professional Summary:   Nancy Reye, CPA, MD, served as an Executive Board Member of the Grand Traverse Bay YMCA from 2007 to 2008. Dr. Nancy Reye has also acted as a Regional Coordinator of the National Reye's Syndrome Foundation. Dr. Nancy Reye gives back to her community by helping to educate members of her local community on how diseases occur due to inflammation and heart disease. She also teaches children about the importance of exercise and a balanced diet. Dr. Nancy Reye received her undergraduate education at Kalamazoo College. In 1987, she earned a Bachelor's degree with honors in Economics and Business Administration. Nancy Reye went on to study accounting at Walsh College in Troy, Michigan, where she earned her MSPA in 1989, passing her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination on her first attempt. Nancy Reye's medical training began at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, where she became an M.D. in 1998. Nancy Reye's residency in family practice took place at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. Following her two-year work as a CPA with public accounting firm Plante & Moran, PLLC., Nancy Reye accepted a position at the large group practice West Front Primary Care. The Traverse City, Michigan-based practice offered her both the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Family Practice Physician. Dr. Nancy Reye also served as Managing Partner and Board Certified Family Practice Physician at Elk Rapids Family Practice. Specializing in women's medicine and geriatrics, Dr. Nancy Reye treated pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients. Today, Dr. Nancy Reye maintains a practice in Bloomington, Indiana, at Ellettsville Family Practice. A dedicated medical doctor, Nancy Reye received the Behavioral Sciences Award during her residency at Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Reye was also the recipient of the Priority Health Award for Exceptional Patient Care in 2008.
