About Namita Kedia
Dr. Namita Kedia serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of South Florida and Attending Physician in Emergency Medicine at Tampa General Hospital, an affiliate of the University of South Florida. She also serves as an Emergency Medicine Flight Physician for Jet I.C.U., an air ambulance company, and as an Attending Physician in Emergency Medicine at Brandon Regional Hospital, located in Hillsborough County, Florida.
Dr. Namita Kedia formerly provided emergency medicine consultation for projects at CE Symmetry. She completed training her field at Jacobi and Montefiore Medical Centers in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Kedia fulfilled a one-year internship in the Department of Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. She then fulfilled a residency in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Jacob and Montefiore Medical Centers over the course of a three-year period.
Dr. Namita Kedia received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1997. She attended medical school at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis, where she obtained a Doctor of Medicine in June 2001. During her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois, Dr. Kedia achieved dean’s list honors.
In order to become a licensed physician, Dr. Namita Kedia successfully completed the three steps of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). She fulfilled the third and final portion of the USMLE in May 2003. In December 2007, Dr. Kedia received board certification through the American Board of Emergency Medicine. She holds certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
