A recently deceased financial industry leader, Nabil Faltas held a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) School of Business Administration. Nabil Faltas also earned a master of business administration and a master of economics from UC Berkeley.
Before he passed away, Mr. Faltas served as the chief of special operations for the World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation (IFC). In this role, he was responsible for structuring, restructuring, and recovering complex transactions in the manufacturing, tourism, and mining markets. Before assuming this position, he managed a variety of infrastructure investments in the IFC’s Capital Markets and Financing division.
Originally, Nabil Faltas joined the World Bank Group as a World Bank young professional and a project officer in its Population and Public Health department. Over the course of his career with the organization, he completed a range of fieldwork in western Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.
