About Ms. Marcia Hatch

Marcia Hatch is a UC Berkeley (B.A.) and University of Michigan Law School (J.D.) graduate who began her legal career at the international financial law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell LLC in New York City, NY. She left her position with Sullivan & Cromwell in 2003 to return to the San Francisco Bay Area and accept a position with Menlo Park-based Venture Law Group. Marcia became a partner at Heller Ehrman LLP when they aquired Venture Law Group and is now a Corporate Partner at Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP. Gunderson Dettmer, a leading global provider of legal services to corporations, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists in emerging technology industries, represents over a thousand new and established technology companies. With over 100 business lawyers in four offices in Silicon Valley, Boston, New York, and San Diego, Gunderson Dettmer specializes in private and public emerging growth company representation, M&A, venture capital fund formation and investment representation, intellectual property, and tax law.


Marcia Hatch is an emerging leader in the Corporate Group at Gunderson Dettmer. She is responsible for representing some of Silicon Valley's top names in the venture capital field, acting as investor counsel in financing transactions. She works with emerging technology companies, assisting with the raising of startup capital, handling strategic transactions, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, debt and equity finance, corporate governance, and fiduciary duty cases. Marcia Hatch is admitted to the bar in New York and California.


Aside from her work with Gunderson Dettmer, Marcia Hatch takes public service very seriously, donating much of her free time to providing pro bono legal counsel to her favorite charity, Child Family Health International.
