About Ms. Binta Robinson
With more than a decade of experience in biotechnological and pharmaceutical patent law, Binta Robinson bears responsibility for the inspection of patent applications in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals at the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, Virginia. Binta Robinson writes the final opinions regarding patent applications, including advice about the legal and technical requirements for any particular invention compared to its predecessors.
Binta Robinson holds a Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School. She has subsequently been a member of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Legal Society. Binta Robinson received her Bachelor of Science from Spelman College and wrote her senior thesis on “Synthetic Approaches to Biodegradable Surfactants.” Binta Robinson’s academic honors include recognition as an Undergraduate Minority Access to Research Careers Honors (UMARC) Scholar while a student at Spelman and a Howard Hughes Research Fellow while she was enrolled at Hampshire College.
A resident of Washington, D.C., Binta Robinson belongs to a number of professional organizations as well as the George Washington Law Alumni Association and the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College.
