About Mrs. Terrie Spieker
Metropolitan State College of Denver alum Terrie Spieker graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2001, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science with a special focus on Education and Special Education. Upon finishing college, Terrie Spieker immediately began serving the Littleton, Colorado, area as a public school teacher. Using an interactive approach to education, Terrie Spieker sought to improve her students’ learning by adapting her teaching styles to fit their needs. She also encouraged a greater level of communication between students, teachers, and parents and aimed to create a sense of community within her classrooms.
Prior to becoming an educator, Terrie Spieker acted as a Sales Representative with telephone and Internet service provider Qwest Communications. Spieker’s duties with the company included facilitating effective interaction between customers and employees. She also provided assistance to clients and was responsible for using the company database systems to maintain accurate records, as well as creating and implementing new policies and procedures.
Terrie Spieker is currently attending the University of Colorado Denver to earn her Master’s degree in Language and Literacy. She expects to graduate in May 2010. When she is not working towards her degree, Terrie Spieker donates her time to Light of the World Catholic Church, acting as a shelter volunteer and tutor. She also enjoys staying physically active through golf, volleyball, and skiing.
