About Mr. Tod Seisser

A dynamic and innovative thinker, Mr. Tod Seisser has maintained a prominent place in the advertising world for over 25 years. After leaving Saatchi & Saatchi, where he served as Chief Creative Officer for nearly seven years, Tod Seisser, along with partners Steve Landsberg and Julie Bauer, established Grok, a New York-based advertising firm that separates itself from the typical bureaucracy of large operations and instead engages clients directly and intimately.

One of Tod Seisser’s most recent projects through Grok was a campaign for D’Agostino, the family-owned grocery chain in New York, featuring the faces – and words – of actual D’Agostino managers in the, encouraging a human and more modern public perception of the chain as it competes with Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods.

The verb “grok” means to "emphatically communicate and to understand someone or something profoundly or intuitively," and Tod Seisser, Steve Landsberg and Julie Bauer's firm aims to personally understand the needs and drives of every client. Rather than relegating tasks to less experienced employees.

On a personal level, Tod Seisser has an interest in – and commitment to – the welfare of animals. He supports the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals; the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary; and Shar Pei Savers, a rescue shelter. Tod Seisser aslo supports the Animal Legal Defense Fund and Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
