Todd Varnes, a veteran of the U.S. armed forces, is a member of many local community groups. Holding a lifelong commitment to serving his fellow citizens, Todd Varnes has been a generous supporter of many organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, the Senior Community Center, various animal rescue clubs, and organizations devoted to conservation and wildlife preservation.
A superlative student, Todd Varnes enjoyed a distinguished undergraduate career at the University of Wisconsin and was honored with many awards, including the prestigious Albertson Medallion Award and the Outstanding Senior Award from the College of Natural Resources. For his paper involving climatic effects on animals, Todd Varnes received one of the top honors at the Tri Beta Biology Club Convention.
Graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Todd Varnes completed coursework in Wildlife Ecology and Biology, and he later matriculated at the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Having received a D.V.M. from UW Madison, Todd Varnes completed his veterinary internship at the University of Georgia in Athens. Todd Varnes subsequently spent many years serving as a clinic veterinarian.
Todd Varnes is a devoted outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, hiking, rafting, and parachuting. Passionate about travel, Todd Varnes has spent time in nearly every state in the union, and in many other countries as well.
Todd Varnes gives generously of his time and resources to many local community organizations. Building houses with Habitat for Humanity, volunteering at the local senior center, and serving with conservation associations are a few of Todd Varnes’ civic-minded endeavors.
